Why it is important to remove pollution from the ocean?

Pollution is a major threat to the ocean because it harms marine life, disrupts ecosystems, and poses risks to human health. Plastics and toxic chemicals can entangle or be ingested by marine animals, leading to injury or death. These pollutants also damage coral reefs, fish populations, and the entire food chain. As pollutants like microplastics enter the human food supply, they can pose health risks, while also impacting industries like fishing and tourism. The ocean’s ability to support life and regulate the climate is weakened, making it essential to address this growing threat.

 

Our plan to reduce plastic

when an order is placed, we donate 5p to remove 1 plastic bottle from the ocean through green sprout. The reason I am funding this is due to large amounts of pollution reaching the ocean and causing harm to the marine life.
